We had a wonderful stay at the Latimer house hotel from start to finish. There was a wedding on the night we stayed, which can sometimes mean that the staff are left harried and stressed but not so at Latimer house. as soon as we arrived we were greated kindly and with a smile, and while our room wasn’t ready, we were able to grab a quick coffee while the manager found out what was going on with our room. Finding that our room wasn’t immediately available he very kindly gave us an upgrade to stay in the main house, meaning that we had the most beautiful room with an incredible bed and lots of lovely details. The location is stunning with beautiful views and walks around the chess valley (which we know well). The staff in the bar were brilliant despite being busy and the young gentleman who went off and got me a non-alcoholic Prosecco (finding none of the non-alcoholic wine which was on the menu available) was both courteous and attentive. Our bedroom was silent and incredibly dark and comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful with a high pressure shower. in the morning we had a delicious breakfast, my only Complaint being that the situation with the coffee and teas could be improved so that there is no proper filter coffee available (on machine coffee). Having a member of staff going around to top up teas and coffees would keep the visitors happy I’m sure. Latimer house also has a fascinating history, which the hotel should make a bigger deal of (it explains why the building is so bizarre and full of long corridors). All in all a fab stay, we will absolutely be back.

Spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel for my boyfriend's birthday ! What do I say, the location itself it's absolutely stunning, nature walks around the hotel and the hotel itself is set in a beautiful location ! The room ... WOW! Clean, tidy, huge and comfy bed, bathroom absolutely spotless, honestly couldn't fault a single thing ! There was also a gym & swimming pool in the hotel however we didn't use this. Large carpark too. I cannot thank Sarah enough for the birthday decorations in our room for my boyfriend, you went above and beyond and made us really happy! The communication between myself and the hotel / Sarah are great! Everything you could ever want when staying in a hotel. I will definitely be returning! Honestly didn't want to leave this place! Thank you again to Sarah for everything you have done !

I booked this last minute as attending an event nearby. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Aaron greeted me at the second reception desk, as the main desk wasn't open and was so friendly and gave me all the information I needed about using the leisure facilities & bars etc. There was a drinks station at this point where you could pick up coffees (I didn't realise there was a drinks tray in the room possibly!) I loved the whole style and theme of the hotel, was like being in a museum so much to see around if that's your taste, but putting that aside the rooms are top notch, I was lucky to get an upgrade to a double room, near to the leisure facilities which was handly. They have a 11am check out which is so good.

Within 30 seconds one is on the Chess Valley Walk, within 30 minutes away from Little Chalfont (with the beautiful Rex bakery and an Italian deli) - ideal for solo travellers from London without a car. The staff were really nice and went far beyond what one expects from a hotel categorised at 3*. They seem to really care but not in an overly imposing manner It is particularly quiet during the week and in the mornings one hears the sheep from the nearby field, as well as some roosters and a few birds.

This hotel focuses on attention to detail. The facilities are excellent and the breakfast is exceptional. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. I was particularly impressed by two members of staff who were polishing the brass, a detail that is normally overlooked at most establishments. You won't be disappointed with either a budget room or a premium as I've stayed in several rooms over the last few months whilst working in the area and am always satisfied when I leave.
